Hyderabad: AP residents can now seed and update their data pertaining to property tax, vehicle registration and land documents on their own.
AP State Residents Data Hub, which is termed as ‘Single Source of Truth’, provides self-seeding opportunity where one can seed data directly.
The key objective of seeding is for the purpose of eliminating ineligible candidates from government welfare schemes.
G. Vani Mohan, commissioner and director of municipal Administration, self-seeding facility has been provided from the past three days to the general public on the CDMA and SRDH websites. So far, officials were collecting data by door-to-door campaigns and inter-departmental database linkage.
SRDH authorities state, “Organic seeding involves mapping and linking a beneficiary to Aadhaar numbers and unique identifiers such as ration cards and pensions at the time of availing the benefits.
On the SRDH portal, organic seeding is done through an online option, which can be used either by the beneficiary or by a designated department user who has access.”
The APSRDH framework also has a “data cleansing & purification process”, which cleanses and purifies departmental databases by formatting and identifying duplicates in resident data.
Ms Vani Mohan said, “In the beginning the seeding was only one per cent and now it has come up to 30 per cent.
By the month end, we are expecting 80 per cent except for those houses locked up, owner residing abroad or out of state or legal heirs, who didn’t transfer the property in their names.”
Meanwhile Aadhaar App to seed tax
A mobile App to seed property tax will be launched soon by the AP municipal administration department. ‘Property –Aadhaar seeding’ will be made available on Google play store.
“It is already available for the staff, who are conducting door-to-door campaign, where they can seed the property tax directly,” said G. Vani Mohan, commissioner of municipal administration.
