Nellore constable beheaded

Kurnool: Two days after a beheaded body had been found at Kodur village near Nandyal and Atmakur highway, on Wednesday it was identified to be of APSP constable Mala Venkateshwarlu, 40.
Bandi Atmakur SI Sarathkumar Reddy said, based on newspaper reports, Ms Hanumanthamma, wife of the deceased cop, visited the police and identified her husband.
Venkateshwarlu was an APSP head constable in Nellore district, Venkatagiri, 9th battalion. His wife said Venkateshwarlu was on sick leave for 40 days.
On December 12, he was going to Nellore from Kurnool to join his duties. On Monday evening, he talked to his wife on phone.
Cops said they do not have any clues about the motive behind his killing. His wife also confirmed that he had no enmity with anyone.
